Waiting for Spring....

Includes bow lessons from big brother...

And wheelbarrow rides too!
What do we do while we wait for Spring?  We get our bows out and practice shooting arrows away from the cabin, of course.  The other outside project that always keeps us busy is traveling around with the wheelbarrow finding all sorts of lost things that were uncovered by the melting snow, as well as a lot of trash too.   Perhaps our best find was our missing pick axe, albeit a bit rusty!

Robins in Alaska!

Look, green grass!
We spot two robins every morning now!  We first saw them last week.  Spring is around the corner with the first few shoots of green grass and leaves just about to unfurl.  Last year we watched a pair of robins build a nest under the eaves and watched the new chicks until they flew out of the nest.  They grow incredibly fast.  We'll try to find where this years pair is making a nest and snap some pictures.
